Opened Sept 2016
First CLI was in Dec 2016
Second CLI was on March 29 2017
Trying for 3rd CLI after 90 days mark...
Statement on June 26 2017.
PIF June 27 2017.
Request CLI today June 28 2017. Denied. (91 days) Previously tried to get one early at the 62 day mark, was hoping to get lucky but nothing.
I guess I'll try again next month
Finally got some LUV from Discover, auto CLI of $300!! 5 days after they denied my CLI request. Every bit helps to boost those FICO scores up.
Log into Discover today....
Thanks for your loyalty! Now is the time to ask about increasing your spending power and using your card for more purchases. Take a Look
Gave me a 3-5 day message... Gotta love Discovers humor.

Make sure you request a manual CLI right away for a chance to "double dip" and get some more out of Discover.
Finally got a CLI. Secured card unsecured after statement 8, with same $400 CL. They upped it to $600 after statement 10.
Not a huge increase, but super useful for me. It would've been more helpful to pull that off back in Wholesale Club quarters (I won't max out the Restaurant bonus no matter my CL), but still nice.
Edit: 24 hours later, they automatically made it $1000, instead of $600.
Hello forum,
Question for the discover veterans out there
I was approved for a counter offer Discover IT last April with a $1,200 SL & 23.49 Apr. The card has grown to $3,600 but has seen no further cli's since February of this year. I think I have reached my credit max on this card. My profile has improved dramatically since the approval so I was thinking of apping for another discover IT, shift the credit line from my current card to the new one, and close the old one. How would you think my chances of doing this would be? And would a higher approval SL & lower Apr place my odds better to aboard that much coveted disco train😉

Thank you BBS, I did try to do the manual CLI as you've suggested, but got the 3-5 day msg. But that's ok, I will try again in October, right now, I will try to grow the AMEX and will attempt to request a CLI in Sept. when I turn 6 mos. Actually both cards turn 6 mos. in Sept. so maybe i will get an increase from both cards, (hopefully) that will definitely help my scores go back up again.

Opening another card is an option but, there's been a train derailment since 3/29 which may or may not be the reason you haven't seen any movement. If you can provide more of a snapshot of then/now for comparison it might be easier to point you in the right direction but, with the scores in your signature it would suggest that you have some more stuff to clean up or just are lacking some aging due to a few too many new accounts.
Opening a 2nd card with Disco probably won't do much for you the way you're thinking it will.
I would hop on chat and request a rate reduction though to gauge where you're at specifically with Disco at this point. If they don't offer a perm rate reduction then ask if there are any special offers on your account like a 0% period. As for the combining of CL's and such it's a mixed bag of results from either at opening they offer to combine instead of sending out a new account, some get told they have to wait 90 days before moving CL's around.

Yes. In April 2016 received the borderline counteroffer with a judgement , state tax lien, and several student loan lates reporting score ate approval was 640 according to EXP not sure what my EQ was as they double pulled. As of today I have the judgement and state tax lien removed only thing showing is the student loan lates. I have added multiple accounts since then but they are finally aging as I have been in the garden since February.
I did did start a thread a couple months ago about an temp APR reduction on here but can't seem to locate it for some reason lol! They offered a temp reduction from 23.49 to 18.49 for 6 months as well as a 0% BT offer for 14 months I believe.
As for spending, not much since the first of the year (which could explain the lack of cli's) Although I did just take advantage of that BT offer and shifted $ 780.00 to my barclay card.
CLI's where at 73 day mark $ 500 then at 93 days $ 900 then another after 90 days for $500 then my last one in February for $500 ...And that's all she wrote!..
Scores according to their website have been as high as 724 to as low as 677 from the start of my account history.
So I thought I was denied so ignore my previous post because I got the 3-5 day message but just got an email and saying was approved got 1,000 increase. This is the 3rd CLI following the 90 day waiting period since I opened it. Hopefully can keep this going and growing lol
