@Anonymous wrote:More data points, Discover IT opened on 4/30/17 for 4K, after skimming through parts of this thread, I decided to see what happens if I hit the button before 90 days, 71st day today with 2nd statement cut on 6/28/17. Instant approval for 1.5k bring total to 5.5k, still very low relative to my other cards but it's a good start considering the expectation was a decline.
I have a few questions on the concept of double dipping, is the idea basically to call the CSR for a CLI before the new increase is updated in their system? Do I just call the number on the back of the card or is there a special number listed somewhere in this giant thread?
Thanks for the help.
After making the post, I went back to the OP and got the number to call, the CSR was aware of the CLI of 1.5k, I told her I was looking for more and she approved it for 7K total, 3k increase from the original 4k, double dip indeed. I will hit them up every 30 days from now on and report back if sucessful.
Thanks!
maybe in another 4-5 years I will get a cli again lol....
I was actually wondering briefly just now if I should do as @oldman87 did and call to see if I could get a recon on the CLI (there's always the outside possibility that the 7-10 is for verification rather than the usual denial), but I figured, why risk a HP when I'm supposed to be in the garden? I'll just try again next month.
Just got an auto increase of $2,500 on my Discover! Yay! Now up to $5,800. Tried to hit up the button for more but no dice. My last CLI was $1,500 in May. Tried again in June but denied for insufficient experience at current limit.
I got 3K increase tonight from Disco. New limit $7.5 last increase in Feb. My Disco card is now 11 month old. My TU score 766 My usuage depends on quarter. Eating out does nothing for me. Home Improvement a lot.
Suppose I should add my approval here.

What type of spend do you put through the card?
