No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
my Barclays cash rewards and my Cap one quicksilver cards and Amex cards blow discover out of the water. this is why discover will always be a bottom feeder card.
Update from the 2 day message i got Monday denied the card will be retired soon.
The only reason most people had a discover card was they knew it grew fast giving you a better utilization score or it was the first card that came after you when you started with credit building....If they have stopped giving CLI not many people will have much to do with them. discover most think they're Amex or something sock drawer it is!!

I'm sorry Discover gave me such a high SL.
I did not pick the limit, but it feels like I did something wrong.
My high from finally getting a nice card with a decent limit after 39 years of life is wearing off.
I feel as if people are upset with my SL and that I shouldn't have recieved it.
It's my first non-store CC over $2k.
Please be happy for people who are shown their first amount of true credit love.
They may keep me at this limit forever and I'd be okay with that.
I'm happy for your limit, and I'm hoping you will be happy too! I dont know that anyone is necessarily bitter at your spending limit as they are with Discover for giving them theirs. Both of your emotions are completely warranted, but maybe folks would do well to let you know their bitterness isn't directed at you. I think you both provide data points that are interesting that may help others in the future.
I IIBed disover so who knows if and when I could get back in. So both ends of the spectrum may have a leg up on me. Does anyone recall seeing anything in this thread about getting back with discover after IIB?
Agree the vents aren't directed at anyone that get awesome starting limits or CLI's like candy. It is just how Discover does business that doesn't make any logical sense in our eyes, but certainly in theirs it does. As stated above I believe they think I won't make them any money as I don't carry CC balances just to appease lenders (not saying others do either) and I don't do BT's or spend alot of a 1% card just to try to get a CLI for several months as i am always going to use the card that gives me the best Cash back or perk. Discover knows they won't make a dime off me based on my other cards and learned to accept it although I am still bitter .. So please others don't take it personal it is just data points from people with good limits and experiences and people with bad experiences and liimts
