And, be aware that it can and likely will change at some point without notice...

Re: Discover unOfficial Data Points

TU went up, so I decided to try a CLI request this morning. Didn't work - I may have applied a bit too early (successful CLI's have generally happened *after* the statement cuts on or around the 9th/10th of the month), so I'll try again this weekend.

I was able to get a 300 CLI since October's 1500 one after my 2/23 statement cut. I made a 1400 payment. Tried the double dip and was sent to the Consumer Protection Department and asks several identity questions. Weird. Sent back to customer server and denied the DD. On Sunday, I was sent a survey to fill out. Discover is all over the place. I got the 1500 increase when I SD the card for a few months.

You're not the first person who's reported a CLI being granted after they let their Discover sit idle for a couple of months. If I can't get a CLI this weekend, maybe I should try that after the 0% APR period ends since I've pretty much paid off that card.

Re: Discover unOfficial Data Points

Love Discover. Got a discover IT solid prequal in september (when I had $700 combined credit limit through a secured US bank (since closed) and a capital one platinum and had less than 4 months of credit history) apped and got approved immediately with a 2.2k(!!!!) starting limit. After 3 months with no auto CLI I hit the luv button january 23 and got a $300 CLI. Hit the button again end of february and got another $300, called in to double dip and ended up with a CL of 3.3k. Will hit the button again end of march.

Re: Discover unOfficial Data Points

Just got my CLI denial letter in the mail. Reason: Insufficient experience with current credit limit. lol

When will Creditwise or Credit Karma show the HP if there was one done??

768 TU score.

Discover CLI requests result in SPs, not HPs, so no HP for you to see.  Typically though monitoring services like CK are pretty quick to send an alert for a HP; I've received them within minutes or hours of the event.

Yeah, I've read that several times but it always seems like someone will pop up  with a horror story of an HP. lol

Anyway, nothing on Credit Karma so guess I'm good.

Re: Discover unOfficial Data Points

Yeah, for sure.

Any time there is potential for a HP [from any lender really] there should be clear language prior that suggests it... something to the tune of, "by clicking submit, you are authorizing us to pull a copy of your credit report for the lending decision..." or something similar.

A lot of CU's seem to have that for some reason - I've seen it when applying for CLI's from Penfed and Apple FCU.
