Ugh Discover... ironically my most coveted card, but they can be a pain.
I was only approved on my third or fourth try, but when they finally approved it was with a sizable $6000 SL. Maybe you'll have similar luck.

Discover sucks big time on whom they approve and don't approve, I don't think many people can argue that they aren't bi-polar. As they approve some people not to short after BK and other in the 700's with no baddies they decline. They aren't inquiry sensitive as we also know.. They are a true mystery to me! I will never ever waste a HP on them unless their was a 10k signup bonus type of thing
.. Not that great of card IMO.. Freedom is fine for me.
5th time was a charm for me CC!! LOL.. I was ready to do battle, and app every month until these said yes. LOL
And yes..I was approved 1.5 yrs post BK7 with a 659, and 80 inquires, lmao!!

You have to admire the determination....80 inquiries😂😂👌🏽
There is a fine line between determination and brute force. Lol.
"NO' is just a word...I personally think Discover liked my aggressive style, lol![]()

There's something charming about 80 inquiries, I think. It's like "Man... this chick is really ballsy. Let's give her a try."
Or someone with 80 inquiries might just be slightly credit obsessed and more likely to watch their credit closely.

LOL!!! BOTH actually. Im super obsessed with my 1% reporting/PIF, and checking everything. I like how you think though!! ![]()
LOL Creditaddict I thought by now with your portfolio that you would have 10 DC. !
Inquiries are like dating? A high number is 'icky' but a super high number is "interesting? "

A person with enough brute force or determination can pretty much accomplish anything in life. Simply do not take no as an answer and try again and again
.. In time you will eventually get a yes! I should listen to my own advise and try this w/regards to asking certain women on a date
Perhaps, but it is much tougher if you have no eyeballs!
@Creditaddict wrote:Discover makes me want to stab my eyeballs!
I have grown to hate them so much I think I'm going to close our joint account too... I hate nothing more than a bank that gives you a credit analyst that actually isn't one and can't give you REAL answers just suggestions that are really quite stupid.
Don't tell me 9 year old BK is reason for denial when it's so publically known that you give out accounts to people less than 6 months out of BK and 1-2 years for SURE and with scores way below 650 and I have a 700... I know better than anyone it's more than score and blah blah but I just can't handle the model and I wish I could block them on my browser so I would stop applying because I feel i should just get approved even though i don't even care for the card
that's how obsessed I am with banks that won't approve me and makes me so mad and crazy!
thanks that's all for my rant.... now you have 3 seconds to talk me out of canceling our joint account that will not move without HP's and doesn't qualify for sp's if you ask me because it's joint... and we don't even get the fico score anymore for the primary like we use too.
Sorry to hear that CA. Thanks for the idea though. I got Discover to reduce my reate from 17.99% to 16.24%. I only use the card for the 0% offers now so no difference for me but I feel that I gained something out of this ![]()
