Do I have too many inquiries?

Right now I'm doing some gardening before I apply for credit cards. But in the next two to three months I plan to apply for Barclays Ring Card, Capital One quicksilver, and possiblity a discover card. By three months I should be at a 690 credit score or higher. Right now I have 4 inquiries on trans union and 1 on all the other credit bureaus. Is 4 inquiries on transunion too many when I apply for credit cards in 2-3 months?

Impact of the number of inq varies by profile. That many is meaningless with a long, thick profile. With a thin profile, more impact. But compared to many, it's a low number.

Yeah my file is relatively thin I guess you could say. All i have is a students loan, unsecured loan, and secured credit card.

All depends really, Barclays can be inquiry sensitive. I'm not exactly sure how the process is for the ring master, but Barclays Rewards Mastercard would probably be a better decision if you are looking at a good approval chance. As well as to getting in with them and establishing a history.
