I was prequalified for a Lowe's card with a specific APR and limit. I had an Amazon store card a few years ago and it was closed because I had two returned ACH payments. Long story short, I had some financial issues at the time and messed up. I paid off the account in full. Does anyone know if the problem with the Amazon card will lead to an automatic denial for the Lowe's card? I have a Care Credit card and got a CLI this morning for $1500, bringing the CL on the card to $2000.
Any respone would be greatly appreciated. Afraid to pull the trigger and submit the application.
If Synch didn't close your Care Credit then you aren't "blacklisted".
If they didn't like you not only would they have not given you a CLI on that account but they would have shut it down.
That doesn't mean they'll approve you for more credit however...When they gave you that $1,500 CLI did you ask for more and that's all they would give you or did you actually ask for $1,500 or less?
Thank you for your response. Got it on the blacklist response. I asked for $2,000 and they gave me $1,500 on the Care Credit card this morning.
If I had to hazard a guess, if you are approved for a Lowes card be prepared for a $500 starting limit. If that sounds okay to you go ahead and give it a shot.
If you were on their blocklist they would have closed all your cards.
If you were currently on their Really Naughty list they wouldn't have given you that CLI.
The CLI may or may not have an effect on a card application but there's no way of predicting for sure what if any impact that would have.
I'm curious to see where this goes as she did say they gave her a pre-qual with "specific APR and limit".
Having said that, it's Synch so...that APR is gonna be high unless it's a promo purchase for sure. Curious what limit they gave in that "pre-qual".

They gave me $2,000 in the pre-qualification with a 26.99% APR.
Just hit submit and got a 7-10 day notice. Maybe a denial? I've gotten a few new accounts in the last six months.
Okay did they give you a reference number with that message? If so call the recon line and see what they say.

Credit Analyst/Credit Solutions I think is the number you want to use.

Lou-natic,
Yes, I got a reference number. I will give them a call and post what they tell me. Thank you so much.
