Does it help to apply for Chase Hyatt at a branch?

Does anyone know if approvals rates are higher for Chase Hyatt or any Chase card when applied for at a branch? If it's an instant denial can the loan officer immediately start a reconsideration? I already have a Chase Slate so I'm thinking the loan officer would be helpful in getting me approved.

Approval rates are not going to be any different whether one applies directly at the branch, online or via phone.

The bankers, however, have other tools at their disposal that can leverage any pre-approved offers and the like (i.e. cross-selling incentives). That being said, they can reach out to lending/UW in the event that your application is not approved and may merit reconsideration. While the banker can be your ombudsman in this process, lending/UW make the final determination.

When I sign into my Chase Slate account various cards show under "Your Offers" which state the cards selected are based on my relationship with Chase.  These are not pre-approvals are they?

Are they "green checked"? If so, you may be good...

One benefit to apping in-branch is that if there a verification issue, it could be dealt with immediately
