So my BF's baddie fell off from all 3 reports super excited and happy. Long story short stupid when young. So i understand you can be denied or AA for the following reasons: Too much available credit or like Credit to Income.
My question does being an AU contribute to this or is it only personal cards? He doesnt have any cards in his name just student loans and like 3 accounts he is an AU of mine. Im not worried about him being declined or AA for too much available credit, but wondering more about just in general. Like if i added him all on my cards and he applied for a card and got some ridiculous limit (will never happen) just a scenario. Would they CLD or close the account down the road for too much available credit for being an AU on my cards?
Last thing:
When his TU is all cleaned and so are the other reports, i was thinking about having him go for a Barclays. In the event of denial, how do you recon a app or a starting limit?Like what do you say?
Might not be a good idea to add him willy nilly to all of your cards -- would significantly decrease his AAoA. He should start with a starter card for 6 months and then go from there.. aka Capital One or Barclay Rewards or Discover. (Just my opinion, though!)
Re: Recon with Barclays should they need it.. just be incredibly honest. Never had a CC before, my significant other decided to add me to their cards to try to help me, and I just want to prove myself and start my credit on the right foot. Etc. lol

Interesting you mention this.
The analyst who I finally got to approve me for the SM asked me about my AU accounts and if *I* have responsibility in paying them. It seemed like a loaded question to me so I said that I did not.

Well he isnt on all my cards just Freedom, CSP, QS and it did damage his AAOA slightly but not too bad. It may have helped more in the long run due to his older student loans falling off his report. I was going to have him try a Barclays tonight, my guess is will be a denial, but going to try and recon.

You never know. The larger limit cards being added might help with if there is an approval maybe a higher starting CL --- just conjecture, though.

Yeah, that question is loaded and works both ways. If the AA on the card is high, I'd typically answer yes.

Well it turns out he was pre-approved for a Amex ED with a APR of 12.99% and he did apply. However it did come back declined, due to CS being to low and delinquencies. Whats worse is that those delinquencies come off July 2015.
He also applied for Barclays got 7-10 day message, going to try and call Monday and recon especially considering that everything bad falls off in July so hopefully they will approve?
He tried both cards due to them pulling separate bureaus
Have you tried early exclusion? I got an early exclusion from TU on an account that was supposed to come off in may. EX told me I could get it excluded early in february, they have it listed to fall off 7/15. You may be able to get rid of those baddies now. TU was easy once I got to someone that knew what I was talking about. the lady at experian was oddly friendly and aplogetic that she couldnt do it til feb (called jan 23).I will beon the phone with them at 9 am tomorrow.
