With this APR would i likely have a starting limit of at least $1000?

I really can't answer that. I just got mine about 2 months ago I had 1 inquiry on 1 credit report 2 on one and none on the third in 2 years. I was approved for $1500 and 14.9%. I didn't take a HP for a higher CL as I have 2% for a year on my Discover. It would really depend on your credit file what CL you get. I have read they are good with SP CLIs every 6 months.
Well I went and applied for it and was declined. -sadface-

Im wondering if i should go for it or not? Or how reliable is their pre-approval mail offer?
Ive opened 3 new credit cards this year: Freedom$1200 Disover $800 and Barclays$500
All of them were opened about 3 months ago.
What do you guys think? I know the double cash is a good card and would be good to add to my list.
Is it a SET APR vs a range? If it is set, it is pretty solid offer and most likely will be an approval, if range not so good. Only 3 accounts isn't many so well within Citi acceptable new credit/inquiry parameters
What are their new credit/inquiry parameters?
@Anonymous wrote:My fiance was just approved for this card after getting a pre-approval mailer. His had a set APR of 20.9 so I'm agreeing with everyone else that set APR is a great sign.
He was also recently approved for Chase Freedom and Cap One QS but they haven't reported yet so I'm not sure about new accounts.
What was his starting limit?

You had a pre-approved mailer and they still declined you? Yikes, I'm so sorry to hear that.

Really sorry to hear that. Nothing is 100% but we thought you had a real chance of approval!
Is there anyway to recon?

Starting limit was $2,600.
Sorry to here about the denial OP. Is it possible anything in your profile changed between the pre-approval and your application?

I'm sorry. My DW got a mailer with a low APR but the prequal site gives a much higher one, don't know if that is a signal that something changed from the date they sent the mailer to today. Did you apply following the mailer instructions?
