She called cap1 had to answer questions on her credit report. Said they will let her know.
Oh good.. I hope it ends in good news. Keep us posted...

Well capital one approved her finally but only 5k. Still kinda in shock. I figured 10-20....can a SL be recon with them or are they pretty firm on that?
With Capital One, they like to see usage. So I will urge you to use it and then request a CLI.. Congrats on the approval by the way and I know that isn't the limit you were gunning for..
So it look liked you got 2 approved out of the 3. Any update on BOA?

we didn't call yet. I was going to ask first after the capital one question.
How should she go about it with BofA? I'm assuming call and ask for a reconsideration on the app, are they pretty easy to deal with? and there are a ton of numbers listed on the backdoor thread.

BOA can be difficult to deal with as they are hardpull happy based on what people have posted. I personally don't have any of their cards... But call this number BofA: 866-618-4585 (Sr Credit Analyst) ~corymcdd88.
It does not hurt to call and try to recon. Update the thread with results once you call.

I just thought it was crazy that she got a SL and mine is almost at that LOL. and i have 4 charge offs, 1 collection a dismissed BK, discharged BK, and 2 tax liens.
I figured they would come close to matching her amex thats at 20k, we will try to use it but it was just going to be a BT card. 5k isn't going to cut it. Still don't want to max any card out.
Should we bring up that we want to axe amex and bring our spending to BofA? I think we're gonna get out of the skymiles thing with amex. we've only accumilated around 50k miles since january. And Amex just is so slow at putting the points on. I havent even got my BCP points yet and it's been 2 months. I just finally gave up and SD my BCP and moved all my spending over to my new discover IT card.
Thanks for all the help too yes-its-me

oldest account is 19 years, amex is 2 years old started at 10k went to 20k in 6 months, credit history shows AAoA 6 years 8 months, never been late on any account even the one thats 19 years old, never had a bad thing on her credit ever.
her UTI is also 3%

Ok.. I actually have an idea for Capital One also since you mention "moving spend to one card". Capital One wants to be a force to be reckoned with in the credit world and a pitch to their EO of your wife leaving Amex for them can actually swing in your wifes favor for an increase / match her current limit.
The same goes for BOA... [ Lets continue this discussion tomorrow as I am a bit sleepy (on the east coat).. Sorry]... I will try to respond once I sign in..
