Ok, so I'm really considering apping for an AMEX card now that I see them approving 5+ years post BK. My scores are all 710+ across the board and here is a look at what I currently have with a UTI of about 22%. Please if you have any advice for me, chime in and let me know if my odds of approval are good and which card I should apply for.
BTW, my Chapter 7 BK was discharged in January 2009. I have had NO derog since that time and have about 10 INQ's each across the board. My last accounts opened on my record were my NFCU mortgage in Feb and an auto lease in the same month.

AFTER GREAT INPUT FROM ALL OF YOU I APP'D AND WAS APPROVED!!!
Don't know SL yet, and chose to wait for my card to be delivered instead of getting my account number online.
I'm OVERWHELMED with joy, you have no idea!
THANKS MYFICO FORUMS!!!
Was Amex included in your BK? If so, your odds are slim to none and slim just left the building. If not, than pull the trigger!

Exactly. if they were not. your chances are outstanding. but to be safe. you have 3 choices. ED. Delta and Charge card. any of them.
Sorry I forgot to mention. I've never had an AMEX card in my lifetime. So no, they were not included in my BK.
this needs to be moved out of "approvals", and into "applications". I see no approval.......yet........... good luck OP

True pizza. but op can't move it themself. then if you never had one op. Go for it. you would be good to go. just decide which one you want and can justify that AF.

Sorry I was on the fence on where to put this. Mabye it'll get moved.
Thanks for the input, it seems you all think I'll have a good shot. CK seemed to think so but I was unsure, well, because it was CK. But approval odds were "VERY GOOD". And it was the the ED card.
Quick question, why not the BCE or other blue cards? Just wondering.
Did you app yet?
I saw in a prev thread a guy get approved for the Delta Gold and a couple other AX cards that I cant remember. His scores and profile were similar to yours. He got two instant approvals and had to wait on the third. His BK was around 3 yrs. I was really surprised. I prev attempted to apply for the Delta Gold card and was declined. My BK is almost 3 yrs old. The rep advised me to try in another year.

Because the underwritng appears to be a little more strict. since you have a negative no need to push it. Info for you. Once you are in door with time under your belt with amex. They will let you have up to 5 cards. But your first priority is to get in the Door. Not kick it down with a BK. get in first. then worry about their prime cards.
