The next lender on my list is Barclays, we didn't IIB. Have my eyes on the Carnival card as we love to cruise so the benefits would be of good value. Amy advice on how to get an approval for that card? I miss not going to jump the gun and cold app. We get invites to apply (not pre-qual) with extra bonuses so I'll wait until then...but just want to set myself up. Thoughts?
Did you obtain all of your TL's post d/c? If so, I would just say to wait until you have around 6 months of positive revolving history for Barclay to review

Just bear this in mind about Barclays:
1. They almost always pull TU.
2. They don't like recent inquiries & new accounts.
3. If they turn you down it's a good idea to call a 'backdoor number' & recon.
4. The odds of getting a preapproval in the mail for that particular card seem pretty slim to me. If your TU FICO 8 is over 700, and you don't have a lot of inquiries and recent accounts, I think you'll probably be approved.

I had 13 new accounts in past 3 months and 7 inquiries on TU in prior 3 months when I got Arrival Plus. I did have 710 TU FICO.

Cool. I also had new accounts + recent inquiries, but they turned me down more often than they accepted me, and I had to recon to get the Ring card.

Thanks for the replies. Yep, all my TL's are post D.C., so oldest is as if March. I have one $4,000 TL reporting from pre-Bk which survived that helps my AAOA, but I don't actively use the account. Where can you find your most accurate TU score? I only subscribe to The credit monitoring service thru USAA. But get scores from Disco & Cap1
You're in luck. The score Discover gives you on their site is a TU FICO 8, the same score Barclays uses.
