Re: Equality Visa underwriting no.

They say it takes a week or so. I called initially on the Monday and they said wait a week. I emailed just a question to ask if they had a website to check status. She seemed to speed it up. I honestly think it was just waiting to be looked at.

I'm sorry to hear about the denial!  I too was denied because of two items on my report (which are falling off in May and August respectively -- both old, minor items).  I private messaged the Equality Card Facebook Team asking for a manual reconsideration and actually received a very nice email today from the CEO of Equality Card who said he personally looked over my application and told me to reapply once my Equifax is clear (that is the report they pull) and that he'd personally see to it that my application was approved.   If his credit is borderline, it might be worth it for him to inbox the Equality Card facebook team and perhaps they can send his app for reconsideration.  Hopefully this information helps a little?

Re: Equality Visa underwriting no.

I'm sorry about the denial.

I was approved for the card and when I received the card it said the CL was 9K.    Once I activated it and set up online access,  it said my CL was 5K so I called them immediately.   After 2 disconnects, the 3rd rep connected me to lending and I was told that corporate lowered the CL and that I could request an increase in a month.   At that point I was upset and didn't even bother asking if that would be a hard pull.   I will keep it in the sock drawer for now for them lowering it the CL AFTER it was mailed out.  They gave me AA even before I used the card.

Thanks for your info. I think it helps him a lot. He got a couple of negatives on his report. It was almost four years ago. He thought he might have a chance to get approved.

It's probably those negative accounts four years ago.

I am sorry to hear it. That's sucks. They changed their mind. I hope it will not turned to be another OCCU. thing.
