Experience with Synch

Looking for advice on where to go from here. I received screening for a medical procedure. I was informed that sync offered a promotional where if the line is paid off within a two year period all interest would be avoided. Awesome! My fico9 score is about 785 and I have had a lengthy record of paying off my few cards flawlessly. I agreed to the doctors price point, paid a deposit, scheduled an appointment and applied for synch With my savings and income I have no problem paying this off.

I was instantly accepted for a line that exceeded what was needed for the treatment($8000!). Unfortunately upon reviewing my application I released I erroneously overstated my income (by a factor of ten).

Anyway looking for people with experience with sync and credit cards in general for advice. Should I close the account? If I did that how long would it take before a I can reapply again?

Or is it better to not close and tell sync of my mistake. Would they just close my account or just adjust the numbers for me? Whats the best way to handle this and what might I expect ? Thanks.

Re: Experience with Synch

Is this through Care Credit? There's a point where the income doesn't make a real difference. They based what you were given off your TU FICO 8 score and credit profile.
You can update the income in your online account.
You also want a limit high enough to where it doesn't affect your scores while the balance reports. Preferably 29% or less of the total limit.
Synchrony is really great about increasing the limit on the Care Credit card right after approval.
I wouldn't sweat it. People make mistakes punching in these figures all the time. I'm sure they still want your business.

I agree with Gmood1. I wouldn't bother with it and let it ride. You should be just fine imho

Re: Experience with Synch

Doesn’t matter you can always update it later under income in your account.

I'm not sure . Overstating income by a factor of 10, I'm not good at math but that's sounds like a lot. Good chance you update your income and they see a big discrepancy it could trigger a blue envelope. If you dont mind answering what income do you claim and what did you accidentally put in?

I agree with @AverageJoesCredit about this one.  It's one thing to flip-flop a number but multiply income by a factor of 10...yeah, that's a lot.  Hmm...

Re: Experience with Synch

You're fine. There's no reason to do anything unless you get a Income verification, which is probably highly unlikely. Stick with it and use it wisely. The account grows nicely.
