Tried for a CLI on above mentioned card before the move over to Elan on the 22nd----first time was denied for 3 old paid judgements which were there when I was approved--but had to recon to get the card---TU was hard-pulled. Called for recon on Tuesday and spoke to a nice female analyst who asked me about the 3 derogs b/c that's what the computer denied me for. Explained to her that 2 were HOA fines for property non-compliance (TV antenna) which I disputed and lost but took my time paying the fine. And the 3rd was for delinquent dues. Aside from those things she said the rest of the report--DTI ration--payment history--etc. all looked in order and submitted for recon and told me I'd hear the decision in a few days. Got the letter today dated the same day as the recon call....typical cookie-cutter denial reasons that WERE NOT on the first denial letter: Too many balances (5% UTIL acroos all accts.)--too many INQ's (4 total on TU)--too many new accts. etc.--etc. Guess I'll just hang with the $7.5K line for the time being until the Elan switch-over and see how they do things. Already received the Visa. Sig. replacement card for the AMEX but haven't activated it yet. SIDE NOTE: B of A instant approved me later the same day for a Cash Rewards Visa Signature---but they used EX for that decision--and that one only shows 2 of the 3 judgements..
