How do you know which one is pulled. And which version? Chase? amex?

Typically it's just a F8 and not the bankcard.  The key to it is in the mail they send you after you apply.  The bankcard version goes to 900 not 850 like a F8/F9.  The docs they send should also tell you which version they used.

Chase also uses an internal score called CARS v2 and I believe the Fico 8
CARSv2 is card acquisition risk score version 2
