Re: FNBO App "written status in 2-4 weeks"? (Update: denied)

Confess over the years I have had several FNBO Credit Cards. Going back to the 1970's.

It has been said they are strange and I confirm that. Recently I closed their current offering of cards. They seem to like my profile as they always approve but they really have nothing special!

On this Forum there are many approvals from all kinds of fin techs, banks and CUs. Some of the CUs are interesting to get in and are good to hold membership in.

Feel free to look and ask questions since different lenders see our profiles in unique ways. Many posters will offer insight.

Re: FNBO App "written status in 2-4 weeks"? (Update: denied)

I still have to figure out what to go for next and when, but in the mean time I got my reason codes for denial and once again it's completely made up reasons of random (@kforce)  codes:

1:  length of time established on revolving accounts

2: length of time established on accounts

3: number of inquiries on report

My inquiries are (0/12, 1/24).  And 1.5 years ago when they last denied me they told me directly that the ages are fine the problem was not enough other accounts.  Now 1.5 years age more, with 2 more accounts over a year old and a higher average age, suddenly the ages are a problem.

If I apply in 10 years they'll tell me it's because they don't like my eye color.

I know all banks have inaccurate codes but these guys make it up as they go along.  Equal to or worse than SyncB.

(Edit to correct the inquiries, is actually 0/12, 1/18, 3/24, as I was forgetting that their own refusal the first time and the subsequent Amex to fulfill their own requirement was in the 24mo range.) So what they really meant was "go get other cards and then wait more than 2 years after that to bother coming back.). Still not the kind of place one wants to deal with. ESPECIALLY when they're the only one that seems to have all these hangups.)
