So I applied this weekend for a FordPass CC, I have a Taurus, and with over 115k miles on it it can be helpful. I fill the form, wait and then don't 7-10 days messages and a notification from experian that they blocked an attempt to credit check by FNBO! Of course they declined because they weren't able to pull my credit. I called them today and the super friendly CS told me to call back tomorrow and technically they can run it again and see. Now. I want to know if you think I have a chance or not. Right now my experian fico 8 is 680 and fico 8 bank card is 682, I just had my Macy's card and Lexus pursuit card reporting since today... (that's why I wanted to app for the Ford card this weekend) 12/12 8/6 average length of credit is 2y with 26 accounts (15 open and 11 closed). If I have no chance I can just wait a few months instead of wasting a pull for nothing
I'm assuming your CRs were locked? Did you unlock/unfreeze EX once you spoke with the representative?

Yes, I unlocked it right away but I have to call back during business hours tomorrow for them to check it.
Ok. I'd say unless you've opened a slew of new accounts and/or several inquiries in the past 12 months, then those odds may not be as good. I think the only thing that may stand out is the utilization, but I think your chances are 50/50 - hopefully it will be a good outcome.
Keep us posted.

Agree unless tons of new accounts you probably will be ok.. FNBO isnt so score driven.. Why is your score in the 680's though? Any fairly recent baddies?
