Documents were confirmed delivered to their PO box this morning. I received a call from First Bankcard credit services at 3 pm EST to call them back. They asked me a few verification questions (confirm identity and mailing address, confirm mortgage amount and bank, confirm employment status and income, etc). She stated that the analyst would do a final review and give a final approval or denial by the end of the day.

I'm genuinely curious what the letter will say. Healthy household income (W2 verfied), scores in the mid 700s, and not too many inquires or new accounts.

I agree. Despite their offer of high starting limits, this is not a card I would apply for again. There are plenty of other 2% cards with banks that will grow their limits quickly.

This may be important... I opened a checking account at FNBO 2 days ago. I am also an AU on one personal and one business card with the DW. I can say they have been excellent to deal with. I am the designated person to deal with them on the DW's accounts. All friendly CS people. Who knows if any of that made a difference?
So my little spree resulted in 5 out of 6 approvals for a total of $85.2K. more than triping my total CL's. Cooling my jets here and letting the dust settle.

With the most recent DPs -- as far as being able to PC (YEMV from what I read upthread); if you need another 2% it *could* be lucrative for some, but how many 2% CCs does one really want/need?
The good thing about FNBO, provided profile is good (I know yours is beyond rainbows and unicorns), growth on their cards is great. They run a variety of life-of-the-balance BT promos (some without BT fees) at different intervals. Some cards top out at $25K or $30K (via SP) before HP and/or POI comes into the picture.

I can say that the DW's $25k 2% Biz card racks up personal CB that goes into her personal checking.
