I am pre-Qualified for a FNBO secured credit card. is the card any good? Thank you and be safe.
Do you have any other cards? What is your most recent credit score?
As for the FNBO Secured Visa Credit Card if you need to get your foot in the door it's an okay card but depending on your profile/credit history may not be the best one for you. There is no annual fee or maintenance fee. It requires a single deposit with a minimum of $300 up to $5,000. The APR is a set rate at 20.24%. Reading on their website it doesn't appear that this card graduates from secured to unsecured, if that's the case at some point you would need to close the account in order to get your deposit back which could take up to 90 days from the request.
Have you tried to see if you're pre-approved on Discover? If not I would try them first. Their card does graduate from secured to unsecured, has rewards, 2% cashback on gas and restaurants and 1% everything else. One last thing to add, pre-qualified doesn't mean you'll for sure get approved. "Prequalification tends to refer to less rigorous assessments, while a preapproval can require you share more personal and financial information with a creditor. As a result, an offer based on a prequalification may be less accurate or certain than an offer based on a preapproval."
Go for it. YOLO.
I recommend you stick to your garden goal maybe? You won't be able to get your foot into the door with the big players if you continue to add inquiries to your profile and I do not think all these small store cards are helping you at all. Pick one or two goal cards that you REALLY want and that serve a purpose and work towards that. That may include just laying low for a while

The DW had / has that card. She got it at around a 600 F09 Bankcard score with a 1k deposit. It graduated right at 11 months as noted in their paperwork with a 1K CLI with barely any use. She still has it and will likely either try a PC or close it at some point as it is rarely used. She did also get the 2% biz card for 10k at a 700 F09 Bankcard and has recently gotten a HP CLI to 25k as she is at an 850+/- F09 EX Bankcard score. That card racks up the personal cashback for us with business spend. $500+ in a year. They seem to be a good stable lender.
I still strongly suggest you stop with the apps and let all of your new accounts age. And what happened with your charge offs? Have they all been paid off?
