If you have 742 score with Experian I think you should be good to go as that's the only score Amex will pull.
I was approved for Amex Gold with 696 on Experian at the time for a 3K limit BUT I was also an AU for someone else's gold card at the time. Now my pre-spending limit is $50K. I think you def have good chances!
Awesome, thank you all for the help. Lots to learn. Would applying for the Amex Gold with 50k signup bonus (through referral link) as opposed to 25k signup bonus affect approval odds at all? Thanks for all the clarification as well.
I got accepted for AMEX platinum with 675/675 transunion and equifax with two months of credit history. My friend had less (649 both) and 2 months credit history and also got accepted for an AMEX platinum. You will definitely gett approved. Good Luck!

Would Amex ever pull a FICO Bankcard Score 8, as opposed to just a FICO Score 8? My Bankcard Score 8 is 654, but my FICO Score 8 is 742. This is the only hold up for me to currently apply. Thanks for all the help everyone.

How many times do you plan on asking the same question even though you already have the answer?
Different question. Asked if they would ever pull a Bankcard score or not. Thx.
No, they only pull your Experian FICO 8. They don't use the bankcard version.
