Just received my denial letter in the mail from FIA. The only reason for denial was too many INQ. I have 20+ INQ on EXP, which is what they used. Nearly half of those are from car shopping in July.
Anybody have any experience with recons? Also, what is a good backdoor # for them?
I tried and no luck. I too had about 20 inqs at the time.
FIA (or BofA for that matter) were pretty friendly when I apped for my Fidelity Amex. I was denied at first and then when I recon the analyst just asked me about my current credit situation and then boom he approved it. Call again
I was flat out denied when I applied in September. I called the recon next moring and after review the analyst told me that he is going to approve me for $2500 CL. I was like uummmmhhh I expected more. He said what were you expecting and I told him I was expecting at least $5000. He said that $2500 is the max they can offer. Later, when I got the card it had $5000 CL ![]()
So IMO you should definately recon.

What number did you use for recon?

BoA/FIA still hates me, so I wont even attempt to get this card..lol..
Tried for a BBR after getting my US Airways instapproval and got autodeclined with no report pulled. Still on the "buddy list" as far as I can tell...
Oh well.
Did you burn them before?
