I've read that Elan financial is sensitive to a lot of things including new accounts so just hoping to get a second opinion on if they are just going to deny me. If that seems likely I'd rather just wait a few months.
Me: 741 EX (Fico 8), 758 TU (V3), 760 EQ (V3)
Total SL: 20,000 Used 1,500 = 7% utilization
One 4 year old card, two 1 year old cards (with hard pulls still on report). Fidelity brokerage accounts with a decent amount invested.
The part I'm most worried about... a two month old mortgage added august 2020 with two payments and two hard pulls in Jan and a hard pull in August all for mortgage purposes.
Are they going to shoot me down for the hard pulls or the 2 month old mortgage?
Thanks!
YMMV. What is your Transunion F8 score?
If you're in no real hurry to apply you may want to wait until January when those 2 inquiries reach 12 months.
The amount invested in Fidelity accounts doesn't have a significant impact on your probability of approval.
FWIW, I picked up my Elan Visa during my only app spree when my credit was fairly new, with scores right around yours... It was in 2017 though so UW may have tightened up considering the current environment. It instantly went pending, and about 3 weeks later the card showed up with a $5K limit. I wouldn't think the mortgage would be a negative to them, even being a new account. Your scores are in good shape so barring anything negative that hasn't been mentioned, I'd say you've got a decent shot at it.
