I realize this thread is from April 2015, but this answer ^^ is the closet I could find in relation to getting approved or not with Fifth Third. I app'd on 10-14 and as soon as I hit submit -- a similiar dialogue came up without acknowledging my approval or decline -- "hence the wording to your account".

And I'm still waiting........... I wish they had a status line to check on, rather than speak to a cust service rep. Been waiting 9 days since app for ANY correspondence either via email or regular mail
