I have requested an increase 2-3 times in the last few months.
I always get the same lovely letter.
My credit score is apparently too low (It is higher than it was when they upped me to $3,000)
Telling me my oldest account is too new( My oldest account is now 6 months older than it was during the last increase).
That I do not have any usable real estate?
Too many inquiries.
The one I love is that the available credit on my accounts is too low(What? I will give them that with respect to my Amex because I balance transferred $4,300 to a $4,800 limit card but everything else is grand).
Have any of you all had similar issues? I know a couple of people have been able to push past $3,000.
Do you all have any suggestions? I guess I am just irritated because I had been getting increases every 3 months like clock work.
Is your current limit 3,000? That is what i believe i just read? If so Kohls credit card limit maxes out at 3,000. So if you are at that, that's as high as it will go.
What is your utilization on your Kohl's?
I opened mine at $300 about two years ago when I was rebuilding. We use it several times a year and always PIF. They have auto CLId our SL to $1500 since we opened. We usually get the CLI a few hundred dollars at a time, and always when we haven't used the card in a couple months.
IMHO, if it wasn't for the coupons that required use of a Kohl's charge, we probably wouldn't have one at all.
Either $0 a credit balance, or $5-$10 at statement cut over the last few months.

Again, 3,000 is the max limit for this card. i have never seen proof of a limit over that. Multiple reps have confirmed thats it. Thats why you are getting denied i bet. According to your signature your kohls card HAS A 3,000 limit so i would guess you are at the max, congrats.

No, it's not - $4K is the maximum limit on this card currrently Approvals started showing up on the forum in August 2017 for CLI to $4K.
Wow! I stand corrected. I have searched and searched for info that the limit could go above 3,000 and never came across anything. And called and spoke to a customer servcie rep at kohls who confirmed that was it, multiple times. Thats awesome. Thanks for the link!

You're welcome. Always take CSRs information with a HUGE grain of salt. Sometimes they are right on the money, other times they don't know what's really going on. I trust the information flowing through this forum more at this point.
Here's another from last month (but threads get buried fast!)
