Finally joined Penfed... question

So I finally decided I wanted to join a credit union . After being Intimidated by the whole process I decided to just do it. It was so easy I can’t beleive I didn’t do it before. I was qualified to join as my brother served in the military. Was able to link my Bank account for the 5 dollar fee. It was all so simple and took 5 minutes . Then decided to app for 2 cards, the first being the platinum rewards visa sig and then the power cash reward. I did apply as a co borrower with my husband as well as a data point . This was on Saturday morning and both apps went to pending with loan officer. Monday morning I get a email that the 2 latest pay stubs are required, so I upload those to both apps . It was easy to do online. 64000 a year for data point . As of 3 o’clock Tuesday it’s still in “review”. With “borrower pay stubs required” under each app, which I can see that I uploaded them . No other emails or calls etc.
I remember with chase reading that most people urged you NOT to call when a app was pending, is Penfed the same ? Not too sure if they need more information or if this waiting time is normal. Any insight into how they would work would be appreciated !

My fico credit score is 761 on Equifax which is what they did pull for the membership. Husbands is 774. My file is clean , almost up to 2 years AAOA, husband has 2 late payments that are almost 4 years old ,his AAOA is almost 5 years. I have crap ton of accounts and inquiries , 25 now on Equifax, 39 accounts total, 5 in the last 6 months (with 2 news amex cArds yet to report )
Hubbys Equifax has 9 inquiries, 2 new accounts in last 6 months.
Thanks guys !!😎

Hello,  Glad you jumped in the CU pool. Penfed can be great. 25inqs on EX is probably the tall pole holding the app up. Good luck.

Lol the tall pole, that gave me a good laugh. And yes I have to imagine that’s a factor , about half are due to fall of this December ,almost 2 years ago I was apping for everything I could see when I knew nothing about credit and couldn’t tell you what a hard pull was and what it did. So anxious for all those to be gone. If it doesn’t work out this time I’ll consider trying again in January after those inquiries are gone. .

Re: Finally joined Penfed... question

UPDATE
My second app, the power cash rewards, shows TURNED DOWN. Reason is “max unsecured “. What the heck does that mean? The first app I did ,the visa signature, still shows “in review” .
