Well checked my mailbox yesterday and to my surprise there was a letter from Discover. My eyes got wider. I opened it and it sure was a prequal offer for the discover it card. 0% for 12 months and after that Apr is high at 23.24% but it is a set rate not a range. So now I'm on the fence, should I take the offer and apply and see what happens or just shred it. I'm afraid to apply because I think I'll get denied, they'll pull EQ and that still has a BK showing and from what I remember last time I cold app, they cited that as a reason for denial. But if they see the BK why even waste paper and send me this letter if I'll get denied. Also I have a truckload full of inquiries so they should've seen that.
Well I'm just happy I finally saw a mailer from Discover and not Credit One or First Premier. I don't think I've ever gotten any offers from discover even before my BK so this is really new to me. What would you do?
How old is your BK?

Is going on 8 years this October.
This is the last card that I really want. I think I'll go to the garden for a really long time if I end up getting it. Assuming I even apply for it and get approved.
Does the mailer have an invitation code to apply with (or whatever they're called)? How long ago was your last app and denial with them?
Honestly it might be good, but there is still a chance of denial. Plus discover marketing is notorious for false hopes. Especially since you have a Bk, I would just hold off. Ask yourself do you really need this card or do you just want this card. Just my two cents! 😁
Yes it does have an invitation # so it might just be that, and invitation. last app was in January.

I agree with that; however, I think there have been others who have been approved for Discover with a BK reporting? I think? And OP's BK is pretty old.

From all the cards I have this might be the more useful.

Actually I think that's a good thing?? Does it have an OPT-OUT notice on it somewhere? And last question, has anything changed on you credit report in the last month or 2 (i.e. new accounts, INQs, high utilization, etc)?
