From all the cards I have this might be the more useful.
Well in that case go for it, like you said you already have a alot of inquires, what is one more! But you seriously need to garden for the next 5 years, after you do!! Lol😁

Actually I think that's a good thing?? Does it have an OPT-OUT notice on it somewhere? And last question, has anything changed on you credit report in the last month or 2 (i.e. new accounts, INQs, high utilization, etc)?
It does have the opt out language at the bottom of the invitation number. The only new accounts that have reported are the Marvel and Ebates cards. The rest haven't yet. Two Amex, Cabelas, Home Depot, and the Chase AARP. Inqueries were already high from last app, uti is low at 5%.

Oh man this is so tough. Discover is so bipolar. I guess Nova5041 has a point, if you already have a bunch of INQs and you really want this card why not just go for it? I would defintely app using the info in that mailer though just to give you a better chance. If you decide to go for it - good luck!!

This is why I said why even send me an offer when they already saw my report by softing it. They should've seen all the inq and new accounts over the last year and they should've said, oh hell naw. We can't send him this offer.
I'll probably sit on it and make decision in a couple of hours.

Keep us posted
I read something here recently that I thought was interesting. Of course these are generalizations, but Someone said that banks like people who have a recent bankruptcy on file since it means they can't default again anytime soon. Older bankruptcies on file are seen as more risky. It will be interesting to see your results with napping since Discover did site your bankruptcy as an issue t
I only get mailers from Credit One (like ALL THE TIME) and it was depressing until I miraculously came here and learned about pre-qual offers on the actual card sites. I apped for 3 different ones, discover it being one, and got approved. No BK or anything though. I say just go for it

I don't know could be. I don't know why Discover is playing hard to get. I've had no previous relationship with them but they just won't budge.
Op,
DH got the same invitation letter that you got. His bk was discharged 7/14. APR offer was the same, and zero interest for 12 months. He went to their prequalification site and was given the same offer, with the firm APR, no range. He app'd and it was an instant approval with a starting line of $4K. He app'd using the website from the letter and entered his invitation code. By the way, for the other poster, it was Credit Curiosity who spoke about having a better chance if the bk was newer and not aged. The closer the bk is to falling off, banks may see this as a highter risk if debtor falls into financial woes again, and bk can become an option.
Good luck if you decide to app!
