I have found Discover mailers to be solid.... Mine did say the basis of approval was solely based on income and any income over $10,000 would be approved.

From all the cards I have this might be the more useful.
Well in that case go for it, like you said you already have a alot of inquires, what is one more! But you seriously need to garden for the next 5 years, after you do!! Lol😁
He or she would only need to garden at most 2 years depending on how spread out the inqs are. I have around 33 on my EX and 30 on my EQ and half of them are over a year old. My TU has around 16 with half over a year old. They disappear after 2 years.
Well woke up and thought about it some more and decided to go for it. Entered all my info and hit submit and got the 5-7 days message. Bummer. On the plus side I've never seen this message from them. The three previous tries have yielded instant denials. I tried checking the online app status and I get an error message, there was an error retriving your application. Should've waited till tomorrow to apply.

Let us know how it goes... my 'fingers are crossed' for you!
Called in and first rep couldn't even locate my app and transferred me to someone else. She couldn't located it either. She asked me if I wanted to resubmit the app and I was like sure, should've said no. Gave her my invitation code and the rest of my info she told me it declined but if I had a cosignor she can send me the application so that we can send it in. I said no thanks and now I know where future Discover mailers go to, thrash can and thanked her for her help.
No guts no glory. Wonder why you got the wait thing 7-10 day thing. Hmmm something is up with that ..Keep us posted if something changes.
BellaLina,
+1 agree. Something is probably up.

I wonder if the 2nd app was declined because there was already an app pending in the system, even if the reps couldn't see it? I remember when I app'd for Discover it took them a few days before anybody could see my app in the system. This happened 2 out of the 3 times I app'd. The 3rd time I was denied and instantly offered the secured version, which I took. I sure hope they didn't HP you twice for both apps. If I were you I'd still follow up on the first app and see what happened with that one.

I'm hoping so but not holding my breath.
