Got approved for DC 18month post BK as did my wife. Give it a shot.
Is there a way to check on the Discover site to see if you are pre-qualified for their card the way you can with Amex cards? I was on there and didn't see a link for it. I've heard that Amex is pretty on with their pre-qualified offers... how about Discover?
@datrucking210 wrote:Well checked my mailbox yesterday and to my surprise there was a letter from Discover. My eyes got wider. I opened it and it sure was a prequal offer for the discover it card. 0% for 12 months and after that Apr is high at 23.24% but it is a set rate not a range. So now I'm on the fence, should I take the offer and apply and see what happens or just shred it. I'm afraid to apply because I think I'll get denied, they'll pull EQ and that still has a BK showing and from what I remember last time I cold app, they cited that as a reason for denial. But if they see the BK why even waste paper and send me this letter if I'll get denied. Also I have a truckload full of inquiries so they should've seen that.
Well I'm just happy I finally saw a mailer from Discover and not Credit One or First Premier. I don't think I've ever gotten any offers from discover even before my BK so this is really new to me. What would you do?
Might as well give it a try. What's one inquiry in the greater scheme of things.

Yeah there is such a page for Discover but it's totally bogus, unlike Amex.

I received the denial letter in the mail and it had a joint application which I clearly stated to the rep that I wasn't interested in doing that. Now the application reference number on the letter doesn't even match the reference number I get when I check the online app status site. The app status just tells me more information is needed and I need to call. When I call they just tell me my app was declined. Shouldn't that be mention on the check status website in the first place. Whole process has been weird.
Sorry.
If it's any comfort, I hate my Discover card, am planning to SD it at this point.
Family member got an offer from Disco with a 10.24 APR offer by mail.... (and the 15 mo 0% APR)... no range....
Wish the idiot apped.....
Id bet good money that was a shoe-in......

Already did and it was declined

Why do you hate it? Just curious because on this forum and from reading reviews almost everything is positive when it comes to Discover so it would be nice to hear the other side of things for a different perspective.
