Focused on getting Barclaycard Ring... How long to wait to reapply

The credit card I most want is the Barclaycard Ring.

Once I get it I'm done applying for credit cards.

I have Barclaycard Rewards, Barclaycard LL Bean, and Barclaycard US Airways Dividend World Mastercard, but I'd trade them all in for the Ring if I could get it.

My TU FICO score is 718.

How long should I wait to reapply from my last denial.

I don't want to wait any longer than I have to, because I get the sense that they're in a more user friendly mode lately.... and I don't expect it to last.

Didn't you say you currently have 3 barclays products, the good news is that you have a history with them which is a plus, but have you considered product changing to the Ring I don't know of many who have 4 barclays cards, just a thought.

This, I'd rather you attempted this than attempted to get a fitth card with them. They might think you have too much credit with them or whatever.

Good news, if you were denied for this reason, Barclay is very kind with their recon line and would probably be able to fix the situation in your favor.

I don't know how to product change, but I did talk to them about moving over some of my credit limit... they just didn't want to hear about me getting a new card at this time, said I should wait.

I have 3 cards, not 4. One of them is from just a month and a half ago, the US Airways card. I spoke to the recon line about transferring some of the credit limit to the Ring but they wouldn't do it.

Oh well, I tried the recon line again and asked for a product change.

We talked and talked and talked, but they turned me down. Again.

I give up.

I've done nothing but good with my credit for the past 8 1/2 years, so it doesn't seem fair, but that's life.

I'm not going to be part of the "ring family" for the foreseeable future.

I only have 1 card w/Barclays, the Rewards MC. I called them a couple months back and tried to get them tp product chage it to a Sallie Mae. Took the rep awhile to look it up but she said No, I had to app & be approved for Sallie Mae first. I didn't app & glad I didn't, I didn't know about Ring then and would rather have that.

Have you considered closing one of your Barclay cards, maybe the LL Bean, and then try again for Ring in a month or so?
