For Anyone who has Applied/Considering Well Fargo WF Propel Card

I have seen several folks report that Wells Fargo will pull EQ (Equifax FICO 9 specifically) when evaluating for their WF Propel card.

 

On the other hand, traditionally, Wells Fargo has pulled EX and they even offer EX score tracking to their customers.

 

Can anyone confirm if they have actually seen or heard of WF using Equifax for Propel?

They pulled EX for me when I applied for my Propel on Saturday.
Taking it one day at a time.

I spoke with a banker in branch today who confirmed from the apps he's seen that they like to pull EX by us. Pretty much told me that's the bureau they used for cards. I'm in FL.

He was unsure if they used the FICO 8 or 9 model for CC approvals, but did mention Model 2 being used for loan apps. YMMV, of course.

My Cash Wise card was an EX pull about year ago, and my PLOC was a triple pull in May of this year (ouch). Different product, though.

Don’t know which state or region they use EQ for apps but in my state of TX they’ve always used EX. You can google “Credit Pulls Database” to find out which CRA they use in your state.

They offer fico 9 scores to their customers so would assume that's true to pull as well. Good luck

OP, they've also been known to pull TU besides just EX or EQ.

June 2017they pulled TU for cashwise, June 2018, asked for cli, they wanted EX, when I called them to advise that I forgot to unlock my report and was advised that I was approved based upon EQ pull. SCORE 778, WAY TOO MANY inquiries and new accounts, went from 3k to 10k. Also pulled EQ for business platinum 3 mos ago SCORE 765 sl 12.5k.

While I haven't apped for propel, they seem, for me at least, to pull from whomever.
Current Scores as of 8/18/17 all FICO 8 EQ: 695 EX: 673 *fico2 699 TU:645 bio has more.

I'm in MI, they pulled EQ for me (last week).


CC's: AMEX (4), Alliant Visa, PenFed AMEX, Pen Fed Promise, Citi (3), Chase (5), US Bank Cash+, Huntington Voice, Nasa Plat Cash Visa, Barclay's Visa, Discover IT, Cap One QS, BOA (2), BMW Visa, 5/3 Real Life Rewards MC; FNBO Amex; Comenity Visa/MC (3), Ebates Visa Siggy, Nordstrom Visa, Walmart MC, Sam's Club MC; A few assorted store cards.

Current Scores (09/2017): EQ My Fico: 786; TU MyFico: 799; EX (My Fico): 797

Just to update-- Wells Fargo attempted to pull TransUnion for Propel.

 

I called the backdoor number and the agent told that they "randomly" pick CR; no idea how accurate that is.
