For the SCT Enthusiasts - New Stores Added

My new policy is if the store card offers 0% financing they are keepers. I've dumped half a dozen that don't satisfy this.

Hah ha   I know right.

I unloaded my whole stable of Comenity Store cards at the beginning of this year after holding many of them at least a year or so, some even less. All it took was one of the prime lenders asking why so many store cards and i didn't have any good answer to offer except that i used them for discounts and such on some home and outdoor items plus enjoyed the shop & order online convenience for them.

My discussion with that U/W (Barclays no less) gave me the incentive to evacuate those cards and focus only on buiding up history with prime lenders as the priority.

They can be of help early on for some but you don't want to make a habit of it until after you've built a solid profile with prime cards first.

They don't want me to have this one.

I've tried almost everything and every which way 'til sunday and it just will not come out for me so far.

I'll keep trying but it might not be meant for me right now. Would like to have it though.

The Cornerstone Family cards (Ballard Designs, etc) If you are approved for one can you use them at all the other brands too? Is this also available to use at HSN?
