I applied for the Citi DC at the end of August, and I got a response that I needed to verfiy my contact information to process the application. I called the number that day, and verfied my information. She said there will be further processing. 10 days.
I called and asked for an update at 10 days.....congratulations sir you've been approved for an $8 SL. Awesome! Thank you! I said.
Now October 3....still no card so I call the number back. Recorded message says that the application is pending further review?
Stay on hold and the woman says. Hello we just need to verify some information from the letter we sent you. Didn't I do this on 9/3? I asked her. Sir I don't show any communications listed here on the computer. We have no notes of you calling.
So what happened to my $8k limit that I was told about? Sorry for that miss communitcaton she said. Miss communication "You're approved" is a miss communication. Well sir, I have NO notes of you calling us.
Well.....just let me verify your information and we will see if we can get this processed without a new credit pull.

I'm so confused by this. She said they wouldn't pull credit this time, but I don't know how to trust this bank?

Call the EO... That's what I did. When I applied for Cuti DC about 2+ weeks ago I was initially denied due to multiple inquires of which I only have 4 inquiries from EX. I called for recon and I was forwarded to the EO ... Just about a few mins talking to the EO and she said Congratulations your approved! The EO said that the computer automatically denies applications with multiple inquiries, the EO shared to me that we have to call them to manually review. Make sure you talk to the EO and not the Customer agents coz they can't do manual reviews like the EO. Goodluck!
