Re: GM Card CLI Possible?

They implemented CLI on the business side of the house. I can only imagine it will come on the personal side.  also for DP's, when apple card first rolled out, it too did not do CLI's, but now it does.

somehow with FI's, they seem to skip the CLI rollout process when they release a card. Some never implement it *cough Sofi/DESERVE/GEMINI/Aspiration *cough*

I'm just checking to see if anyone yet has gotten a CLI (auto or requested) on the GM Rewards card, now that it's been around for a bit longer.  I took a shot at the preapproval the other day after closing the deal on my new Camaro, and after some difficulty getting the application to accept my driver's license images, I was offered a $2000 SL with the 0% APR/12 mo and 15,000pts/$1000-spend SUB.  Would love to start tricking out my ride in the Chevy parts store but the thought of a forever-frozen $2k limit has me feeling kinda meh... if I want that, I'll just keep holding onto my Mission Lane card.

How did you cope this problem of not accepting DL? Do you think the problem of not accepting DL has to do with DL issued in certain states??

Well, eventually the application accepted the images I was uploading.  I was taking new pics, adjusting the lighting, and so on.  I got an email the other day saying that I needed to try again with the DL images, but shortly after I got a call from their customer service to verify my info and they informed me that my DL images were fine as is and I could disregard the earlier email.  It may have been due to how my state (Virginia) has a clear oval cutout where a second image of the person's face is printed, and when you put the card down on a black surface (as GM recommends), that oval just shows the black underneath.

Re: GM Card CLI Possible?

As a follow-up to this, I ended up calling their customer service to inquire about whether the SL could be reconsidered (the answer is no), and I also asked about their timeline on instituting CLI requests.  The rep said it's definitely something they are close to bringing online, most likely within the year and probably sooner than later.  As for me, I decided to decline the $2k offer for now since I can reapply later and cross my fingers for a better SL offering.

This is a little off topic, but would you kindly reply with which device you used for the pictures?

Sure, I was using the camera on my iPhone 11 at the time.  Since then, I upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro, which takes much higher resolution pictures, so I wonder if I would have less difficulty getting the pics approved by the application process if I were to try it again with this new device.

Re: GM Card CLI Possible?

Thanks. There was a user who had issues with GS accepting Samsung Galaxy pictures for the Apple card verification.

I was asking to see if this was the case for the GM card.

FYI: You Can Request CLI on GM Personal Mastercard

I know people have been asking when we would be able to request a CLI on the personal variant of the GM Mastercard. I logged into my account on my desktop computer tonight and found there is now a link showing to put in a request. I put one in and it is indeed a soft pull on TransUnion.
