Gander mountain master card question

Seeing as I was approved for cabelas. I attempted the gander mountain MasterCard.
I didnt get the 7-10 day message but got a message "your application is under review, we will notify you within 10 days." Is this the same as the 7-10 day? Also is there a number I can just call and see what's going on. Maybe it's a verification thing?

Re: Gander mountain master card question

You can try the Comenity backdoor number but they aren't likely to be much help until you have the letter. In the past I've had to really push them in situations like this.

Re: Gander mountain master card question

Cabelas and Gander Mountain are backed by two different lenders. Cabelas = Worlds foremost Bank, and Gander = Comenity...

With Comenity, the 7-10day message 8/10 usually is a verification letter. In the letter you'll get a # to call with a verification # off the letter, and they will ask you questions off your credit reports...9/10, if answered correctly its usually an approval. just wait for the letter. it will either be a denial or a verification.

Re: Gander mountain master card question

Yea normally I see a 7-10 message but this one was a little different message. Didn't know if that was just normal with gander mountain.
Comenity is my red headed step child. Will approve me for 1 thing but not another thing.
I really think they sit there with the applications going "approved, denied, approved, denied, like the game of "she loves me, she loves me not, she loves me, she loves me not" DENIED that jerk jimmy cheated on me! Now I'm going to go sleep with his best friend Tommy!
They are weird with me lol

Re: Gander mountain master card question

So on this I'm guessing its a verification thing. I cold apped for this and still havent seen a HP for this, I even pulled new reports today and nothing for december for GM or comenity...Sould i just call the backdoor or wait out the 10 days?

I've noticed that when it comes to anything MC i always have difficulty with. I always end up denied. Every card I have is a VISA ....are their diffrent criteria for a MC than a VISA?

Re: Gander mountain master card question

I applied for the Gander Mountain Mastercard this past summer and I got the 7-10 day message....I waited to hear from them, and then got a notification that I was approved for the store card....not real happy about it, as I really wanted the Mastercard. I just can't seem to get approved for a visa or Mastercard that is cobranded by Comenity.

Re: Gander mountain master card question

So I was driving around today at work thinking as I was looking at my email. I noticed an email from gander mountain, just the typical junk mail. I thought about this post and I still haven't seen a HP show up and nothing came in the mail, as of yesterday.
I decided to call them today, the CSR I talked to tried to find my app, she tried by name, ss#, address, NADA. I said well I applied for it on December 20th and got a strange 10 day message. She said she doesn't see an app for me. She said I could reapply. I declined.
Well today I get home. Grab the mail and what's in the mail. A gander mountain CC???????? But yet no HP, nada and I cold apped it too!

Re: Gander mountain master card question

FWIW comenity said they only will keep your information for 2 weeks then it's deleted.
So for those denied and scores may increase in a few weeks.
