I added my wife to several of my credit card accounts. Is she eligible to get a new card if she qualifys based on her own credit profile even though she already has a card in her name but I am the one responsible.?

Pretty sure your wife would have to be removed from a card that she wants to apply for.
I was looking for clarification that she did need to be deauthorized before applying. Thanks for the responses but the answers seem to be different. Has anyone got approval without deauthorizing.?

No she doesn't. I've added my g/f to several cards as AU and then later she was approved for her own card. Never removed her on any of them. This has been true for AMEX, Chase, and Capitol One.
