I have a WF credit card that is just over 13 months old, and is also my first CC in my name. I am thinking of applying for the Propel Card because of the 3X categories offered.
I keep hearing that having a relationship at WF helps when applying for a CC, which I do since my salary goes to my WF checking.
Am I better off applying for the propel card at a branch or online? Or am I better off with different options? Could anyone give me suggestions that I could think about?
Can't say whether there's a difference, but their language says you may only be eligible for a new account bonus after every 15 months since last account.
It may be worth waiting til then?
Hey Dumbee,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I am aware that the wait time is 15 months per new bonus on a card. I don't plan to apply for a new CC right now. Ill do it months later maybe around the holidays.
I just wanted to get advice in general on whether I should go for it when the right time comes, or am I better off applying for something else?
From past datas, it looks like having those accounts you have with them and deposits will help in your application considerably.
They do have a recon line as well, so I'd just go ahead and apply at 15 months
I think you should be fine applying online whenever you hit that 15 months. I also had one WF CC and a banking relationship with them when I applied for the Propel. I applied online at the end of May and was approved 2 days later. And their 3x categories have been great for me with no annual fee.
Let us know what happens
Good luck !
Discover or Amex maybe good options. If you own an iPhone, the Apple card.
If the 3x categories of the Propel are useful then that one.
Don’t know if applying in person helps.
