So it seems like once a week I'm getting something in the mail from these guys. Today Blaze MC was the culprit. Last week I forget the name, and the week before that someone else. I have never heard of these people before, and now all of a sudden I'm worth their $350 cards with high interest fees and $75 initial fee. I'm no credit genius, or anyhere near some of the higher scores here, but I can honestly see how they prey on people now. Thank goodness for these boards!
You can opt out of all the mailers, there should be a 1-800 number at the bottom of prescreened offers to do this.
With your current score you can get better prime card and you should start applying and start getting rid of those sub prime cards. Depending how long you had your current cards for.

Nah. Personally, I like getting the offers. Gotta have something to light the fireplace with
I was actually looking for the old "What did you get in the mail today?" thread, as I got a couple of strange things in the mail.
I got a Merrick Bank offer for a no AF card last week. Didn't even know Merrick even offered that.
And today, I got a Credit One offer with a 19.9% APR and only a $45 AF (no monthly fee that I remember seeing).
Of course they're only good for lighting the fireplace, but thought the data points would be of interest to people here. The Merrick card was a $900 CL with a doubling after 6 or 7 months.
The tempting one was a pre-approved Home Depot card. But I researched it on here, and see that they are offering much lower APRs (although I would only ever use it for 0% deferred or PIF, so the APR isn't that important), so I'm probably going to burn that one, too.

HomeDepot is a hard one to get from what I've experienced (I think some have reported needing close to a 700 score to get approval if I remember correctly). I was denied with mid600's but approved at Lowe's 9 in store). I agree with the previous answer that you should go for some better CC's. You should look at some of the pre-qual sites.

I've already gotten rid of First Premier yesterday. I just need to update this signature.

Congrats!! LOL!
During rebuilding there's a transitional period when you get offers from what amounts to loan sharks as well as major banks like Citi. One day I got an offer for a personal loan at 450% APR plus application fee from a finance company as well as a 15-month 0% APR offer from Citi. Both congratulated me on qualifying for these great offers.
Your score is definitely high enough to get better card, with better limits. No expert, but I have several with pretty decent limits, and my scores are slightly lower than yours.

Wish I knew what cards those were, because Chase already turned me down, and I'm too afraid to try anything else. I got approved for DiscoverIT a couple weeks ago, so I guess I'll sit back and see if another major offer comes calling.
