Re: Giving up on Diners Club

Im on the same boat, i applied on the 28th approved on the 30th 20k limit on preimer then applied for the elite on 31st got the 7-15 days message been calling since tuesday in the afternoon. I been telling its pending till this morning it was pending , now today in the afternoon a different csr says they most likely deleted my 2nd app. incase it was a duplicate i said they are 2 different cards.i said that makes no sense i applied after my first approval. He put me on hold called underwriting said it was declined because a fraud / blocked statement on TU i said there is no such thing on there . So i called TU no blockage or consumer or fraud statement on file.not frozen either . So called back another csr said do not see a 2nd account so i explained to her she went to talk to supervisor and said they state there was a consumer statement i said no there isnt. She said they are backrd up with apps. So i said so what is it is it pending or declined..mind you yesterday csr said i shouldnt have a problem getting approved since i got approved for the first one. Smh i dont know what to think. My credit is above 680.

Just got home and finally received a letter! I was declined due to 'excessive obligations in relation to income' never Been denied for this reason before. I have a mortgage and two car loans and report only showed a balance on one card for 3600. Utilization is 1% with avaialble credit around 800k. Car loans and mortgage payment around 2500 per month . Annual income just under 200k.
I think they are taking into account my available credit, what do u think? As if u take the available 800k as a debt (as I know some banks do) than yes that would make sense I guess...

That makes no sense.  They gave me a 30k limit and I have almost 500k in available credit.  I have 3 car notes and mortgage with 195k income.

Scores: EQ 796, EX 790, TU 807
Personal and Business Cards: 31 with 763k
High Limit Cards: CSP 50k | BoA Cash 81k | NFCU flagship 60k | Penfed Rewards 50k | Aviator Silver 52k

This so brings to mind CC slips where they'd use that press looking thing to imprint your card.
