Got blispay denial letter....

I had posted a thread about a week ago about applying for a Blispay, wasn't sure if I should piggyback or make a new one. I got my denial letter and as some posted in my thread the main reason was:  This decision was based on the following listen reasons: UNABLE TO VERIFY IDENTITY OF APPLICANT. That was the only one listed that section. The letter later reads the reporting agency played no part in our decision and is unable to supply specific reasons why we denied credit to you. Then fair credit reporting act yadda yadda. score was 694. Then key factors adversley affecting score the lates I had mentioned in other thread were listed from 5 and a half years ago. perfect payments since. lack of recent installment loan-last loan was auto some 8 years ago in good standing, still on report. too few accounts currently paid as agreed-i have 5 all in good standing. length of time accounts have been established- gas card, homedepot card, credit union card, discover card all hovering around 3.5 years old +/- 5 to 6 months and chase freedom 2.5 years old.  Does anyone think I would have a leg to stand on if I tried to recon, I never have done one before, I imagine the lates would come up and how would I go about with the identity thing.Would they want to pull my report again? I really don't want to waste this hp. Thanks for taking the time reading this.

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

There have been a bunch of bogus Blispay denials citing the inability of them to verify identity.  I remember over the summer this was a hot topic and every few days someone was chiming in with that denial reason.  I think one member was able to successfully recon their denial, but I think most were unsuccessful.  It's certainly worth a shot.  Let them know you'll send them whatever documents they need... birth certificate, picture ID, utility bill, etc. (whatever you're comfortable with) so that they will have no problem verifying your identity.

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

Totally up to you.  I had to supply them with a few things for them to get my name right on my card.  I didn't have any issues.

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

Ive wanted this card .. but seems to be no rhyme or reason to who and how they approve... I read where people are denied but a card comes later... or at least I think that is what I have read on Blispay.

I would block out the balances. No one's business.

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

they denied me for the same bogus reason - and my EX at that time was ~ 760. Recon call never ended up producing any results, though I was tempted to go to their UW company since it is based near my town.

oh well, don't care about it anymore anyway.

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

Uhm actually when banks do this sort of verification.. They WANT to see your balances.. Many will reject it if you block out balances or modify the statement in any form...

What used to be my primary bank played games with my ability to ACH funds to a CU.... Security locked me out.... and they wanted to see the statement from the other bank.... before they would *allow* my ACH's again AND unlock my primary account!....

Oddly enough after finally getting that removed... they offered me a CC for the first time ever.... Lets just say I told them off in my mind .while exchanging plesantries of No thanks...

Re: Got blispay denial letter....

I ended up blacking everything out and just circled my name and address so they could easily see it. Got an approval email about 3 days later.
