Applied for the US Bank Altitude Signature card. Got a notice 7 days later. Too many tradelines open??? I only got a car loan in the last 12 months. Looking to buy a million dollar in real state soon too. Have a 2% credit usage. Anyone ever get rejected from them? Any recommendations for good resturant rewards card?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Have you tried to call in for recon? If you really want the card I would call and see what they say regarding the denial. They will likely give you the option of recon, however be prepared for an additional HP if that's the route you chose to take. If it were me, and I had targeted the card and already apped and taken a HP for it, I would go for the recon. Good luck and keep us posted as to the outcome.

I would recon if you've only had auto loan in last 12 months. Those HP can be explained as auto shopping.
I'm going to assume you were talking about the altitude go, but if you're talking about the altitude reserve, are you an existing banking member?

I called recon. She said I have 3 inquiries in last 12 months? I do remember now about a Discover card but thats it.
I applied for the Altitude Go for resutrant cashback since Im going out more after the last 12 months of hermitting.
I will call equifax and get a report and see whats going on...

So you did not recall opening up a Discover card over the past 12 months? You stated "inquiries," so does that mean you applied for Disco and were denied with scores in the 800s as well? USB generally has a 1/12 rule, where they will not issue you a card if you have opened more than 1 account within the last 12 months. Was it ONLY the auto loan and Discover card that were opened? If that is the case it sounds like there could be more to the story. I could be totally off base but ultimately it's USB's decision. Are you pulling your EQ report to see how many accounts you've actually opened over the last 12 months?

But was the denial about too many tradelines (OP's OP) or too many inqs?
Oh yeah I think it was tradelines. The only new credit card I got was Discover IT last August.
Anywho, their U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature Card seems to be new and I do need a sign up bonus to fund a vacation pretty soon, will this also result in a denial and hence I should not apply?

You would be correct.
This does not make sence, last year I was approved for the Altitude go card with 1 inquiry and more then 18 accounts. You may want to open a checking account or another deposit product with US bank that may help. If you need the bonus to fund a trip, you have problems. it is nice to open a new account for the bonus when you have large charge comming up.
