@ccb

Sorry about that, this website is very poorly formatted for the iPad and didn't even see your two replies when I went to enter my reply.

Re: Gunning for CSP

I think there was a misunderstanding, they gave me a 2,500 limit on the freedom.

The denial letter said not enough income and that was the only listed reason, I kinda rushed through it and realized I had put only income in from my primary job, since thats what the adjacent box asked for on the app. I just fixed it in the app for the Freedom

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm just excited that I got the freedom with triple the credit limit of my discover

I tried to do the CLI button on discover today and it finally showed up, asked me a few questions then said it would need a hard pull in order to determine if I should get one

So im not sure if i should do that since i just got a new card or not

Re: Gunning for CSP

Do not do a Disober HP. It is almost never worth it, you would have more success from shopping cart SPs.

Re: Gunning for CSP

OP you said you don't spend a lot. It doesn't sound like your income or spending fit the CSP and it won't be worth it after year one. Don't get it just because others have the combo. Get it because you can justify it. IMO you can't. You'll be paying an AF and not making the amount back in rewards.

Enjoy your Freedom. Forget the CSP for now

Re: Gunning for CSP

That's good to know. Usually it would say CLI is not available please call for assistance, so then I was disappointed when I didnt get it with the SP.

I was also disappointed because i heard once you put $50 cashback into credit statement, it would often trigger a CLI, but nope again.

Discover seems very stingy

Re: Gunning for CSP

Don't rely on rumors of how to get a CLI. You will get one in time. There is no magic way to get one. It has nothing to do with redeeming a certain cash back bonus IMO. Discover isn't stingy with me. They like heavy usage and a balance sometimes (don't have to pay interest just let a balance report). Mine grew from 2k to almost 10k in 3 years.

Re: Gunning for CSP

I see your point. I mean I pretty much put everything on my card now and make payments often. My concern is that I should be racking up points while I can, even if theres the AF it's waved first year and I'm postive i would at least break even. That and I will be switching jobs and have a little more extra to spend soon
