The Platinum Rewards is my go-to card for gas with 5x and a decent grocery card at 3x.
Note that their points are worth about 0.85 cents per point, so 5x=4.25% and 3x=2.55%.
Note also that "gas" is just gas, paid at the pump. Some cards rewards for "gas stations" may include everything you buy at that convenience store that sells gas.

I have an offer in my account screen for the Power Cash Rewards and across the top it says pre-qualified.
But then it says I'm preapproved and gives me an APR.
Does this mean it would be a soft pull?

Is that the only offer that displays? Meaning are there any auto loans, or other credit card, or additional products displayed as pre-approved? If not, the this is a single offer which will likely result in a HP.
A HP isn't the end of the world if the product is of benefit to you.
