HSBC ...I have no patience for you either.

My patience is less than zero right now....BECU did me in to where I cant go on with HSBC, LOL. I have no patience left for them.  A week and half of emails, and phone calls, and more verfication phone calls, etc...they finally sent me an email to upload my utility bill and DL. Their site was being wonky, and I ended up trying to submit everything like 5 times, and it all finally goes thru.

I called today to see where we are in my app, and Im transferred to security....again.  Guy wants to send me a text to my phone for the 10th time, great. Then he says they received all 34 copies of my utilty bill, LOL...I informed him their site was acting up so I just kept submitting till I got an approval upload.

Guy says in all the copies he didnt receive my DL...(sighs)...I said,  "really....out of all those copies not one was my DL?  I find that hard to believe since I sent them all together.  Cancel my app right now".    LOL..Im not sure Ill have the patience for them either in the future.

Yeah 90% of apps I read about them HSBC are nothing but headaches!! Best to stay away from them. But you’re already in too deep so might as well....

Re: HSBC ...I have no patience for you either.

I am truly sorry you seem to get the

"Yanked out of the line at the airport and grilled for nothing" treatment

on your recent apps. I personally throw in the towel

if they take longer then a day or two. Besides Penfed I

can't think of any other FI that I considered to be

that big of a hassle to join.

Buy yourself a cold adult beverage with that new BECU card

and forget HSBC for awhile :-)

Cheers

I mean, I get the frustration but surely you expected to have a lot of verification? HSBC is obsessed with security and verification for "normal" consumers. For outliers like us here at MF, it probably crashes systems lol.

I don't blame you though. I don't have the patience either.

Re: HSBC ...I have no patience for you either.

Dude.. HSBC is one of the worst. Word of advice.. open up a checking account put $50 in it and wait. Then apply and it will come like candy. I applied three times for a credit card and same bs.. unable to verify identity, wanted a kidney and blood type and I couldn’t deal it was so convoluted. Then I had the bright idea of opening a checking account and once I did it came easy for their credit products. They’re insanely over zealous about their fraud or identity process.

Re: HSBC ...I have no patience for you either.

I didn't get the crazy upload issue.... I did find out that if you put down that you make more than 80K they want POI even though your profile they pull fully suppports the claim made on the app.  I told them to kick rocks and moved on down my list of apps.  I'm sorry but I'm not supplying a corrupt company POI for a 5K CC when my portfolio is filled with 25K+.  (5K is just a guesstimate based on approval postings)

I had an HSBC card before the crisis hit and it wasn't really anything special back then and just wanted to collect the bonus they were offering at the time but, they're seriously shooting themselves in the foot with their antics to get approved.
