I have a saved offer for $4000 at 21.99%
I will be paying in full - but always want a lower rate
if I accept now - will I be able to ask later for a CLI? How about an APR Reduction?
My only time asking was back on July 3rd. Nada.
Verbatim text-response was "I do apologize but at this time we are not offering any APR decreases".
It seems like they have no plans to offer APR reductions but it's not a card that would be used for carrying a balance anyway. The only real good use for it is Apple purchases and you can finance those at 0%.

I haven't heard of any successful APR reductions, but I sure hope they will offer them in the future. If you want the card now, I'd say go for it. If you don't need it, and think your credit will vastly improve before you do "need" it, then wait. I will say, however, you can definitely ask for a cli later. I was approved for your same APR, at a lower cl of $3000 and accepted the offer. Just 3 months later I received a cli to $10,000.
@Repairman nice CLI on the apple card! What kind of spend did you put on it during the 3 months? Also was the the CLI manually requested or was it an auto-CLI?

Thanks! I actually got the cli after a little more than 3 months. I manually requested the increase and I put a lot of spend on the card ($2000-$3000 per month on a $3000 cl) for the 1st 3 months that I had it and PIF each month. I only let the balance report on the statement once, which was the 2nd month, every other time, I paid to 0 before the statement cut. I requested an increase every 31 days, with denial each time. Then waited another 14 days after my last day 92 request at day 106, and finally got the W! The last month, before the CLI, I only put 4 charges on it, totalling about $70, and had paid them off to 0.
I haven't asked for an APR decrease but I got one after the Prime Rate went down. I was approved in August 2019 with the lowest advertised rate of 12.99%. My rate has been at 10.99% for awhile now. It was automatically adjusted down by Goldman Sachs. So I guess if you're eligible for a decrease, they will automatically lower them.
