I do think student loans play a huge role in whether or not you're accepted. A previous poster had 62k I. Debt but did you have the income to counteract that?

I have 52k in student loan debt so far, and they quoted my Fivo score at 752 in my rejection letter with balance on my installment loans too high.
The loan is in deferment.

On another note I was curious as to if it would let me apply again and I'm able to again, when I wasn't before. I got to the agree and submit button and backed off.

I had $62.5k in student loans and mines approved with 2 baddies and a judgement. I think there's a threshold on your credit score...someone in another thread mentioned 680. I was at 689

I have 135k in student loans and was approved.

Interesting. I have no idea where the 6 month data point came from, but I know someone from the forum mentioned it. I'll probably still wait until the fall.

Re: Has anyone tried a second blispay application after denial

Is your installment loan your only loan and it's the student loan? That's my only loan on my reports and been in deferrment for 9 years and they are fed loans. My income on my app is $43k I never apply with my DH income added. Also I don't remember the app asking me for income also my fico they pulled wasn't nearly as high as yours...Anything else they could have got dodgy about, like utl?

Re: Has anyone tried a second blispay application after denial

It is in an installment loan. I have one other installment loan which is a car, but it was down 3000 at that time and It continues to decrease every month, and that could play a factor. The reason listed on the rejection letter was balance on installment loans too high. And that's accurate considering the balance is the loan amount. I've not paid a dime on it yet.

I don't have high utilization, I get its not optimal for scoring but I usually pay everything off before the statement cuts. Every now and then a few hundred dollars reports on my discover or my my Citi DC but other than that I keep my utilization at 0.

It maybe something in addition to the student loans.  At the time of my approval, I carried $120k in student loans, which are still in deferrment. But, I had less than 1% uti on credit cards, and paid off my car loan.  My ex score at the time was ~750.  I do have a pretty thick credit file as well, so YMMV I suppose.  Good luck in school and hope you get approved in the fall!!!😄

Scores 8/25/2017~ TU: 753 / EXP: 742 / EQ: 726
