So a few days ago at 91 days since my last CLI request I message Apple about another CLI. I got an automated message saying I was declined because I have recently received a CLI. I thought...okay maybe I was off on the dates and I decided to wait.
Today I asked again. This time they actually put me through to a human that processed my request. I was approved today, but it was odd for apple to have a human respond. I am wondering if I should hold back on any future requests.
Is anyone else now getting a human response or did I just get one because I have a higher limit (28k) and I was asking for more. I was going to hold at this new limit anyways (38k) as I don't see too many with more than ~40k and that was my goal anyways.
I don't know if is new, but same thing happened to me. Declined request at 90 days for being to soon. Next day I hit up another request and a human responded. Maybe they go directly to a human after being denied for a certain period of time? I don't know. Trick that usually works is to request CLI after 10pm EST. At that time it should go directly to the bot.
I don't have an Apple Card, but I am an AU on one (my brother is primary), and over the last year of experimenting with the card I've noticed that requesting a CLI within a week of being denied for one will push the request to a rep.
I think there's only 2 people I've seen post about Apple CL's that high... @Aim_High and @DoctorLoomis
I'm at $28K and when I've asked past the 91 day mark, I've always been successful. However, I'm not putting through as much monthly as before...certainly not nearly the 10-20% per month that's been noted to warrant more.

I wouldn't normally be able to put that much use on a card either. But I have some home improvements and I thought I would try to maximize my opportunity. It worked, and I got my increase to 38k which is just shy of my target at 40k-45k.
I beleive I will now focus on getting other cards up. I think I want at least 3 cards with similar credit lines.
I opened mine in December 2019 and instantly regretted it. It doesn't really fit my spend. I only got it because I liked how they did preapproval. I've used it some, but not heavily. I've often applied for CLIs and usually been denied. I did get one, to $7K. I have like eight cards at $10K or higher and I have four at $20K or higher so I guess GS's algorithms don't like me. I applied for a CLI about a week ago and it said they need a few days to decide. I don't recall ever seeing a result. I applied again yesterday and did not get sent to a human, I got an instant denial. I then closed the card. I'm kind of glad I didn't get a CLI because then I'd keep carrying it for no reason. Just not the card for me. No complaints other than lack of growth, though.

Not sure what or if anything changed recently, but when I spoke to an agent in February (on an unrelated issue) they processed the CLI for me. It wasn't an instant approval, but then I checked later on and it was increased to $55.5K and that's probably where it will stay. I placed some moderate usage on the card in some of the months leading up to the CLI.
