I want to add another Chase card to my wallet, soon hopefully. I was 6/24 and as of April 17th I am 4/24 (at least until a new SP Amex account hits). So if that doesn't post before the month turns, I will pull the trigger on 5/1. Kind of also want the Amazon Visa, pre-qualed for it but a core Chase card would be preferable.
I just remembered, howeverm, about a CLD Chase hit me with in 2019. I had the card maxed out for 2-3 months, and when I paid it they dropped my limit from $12,000 down to $4,500. I have never missed any payments on it, or any other cards since 2018. Is this something that Chase would still have in their memory that would influence their decision on a new card?

I don't think so.
But I do think you should apply before the Amex card hits your reports.

Yeah I think I am going to, I have seen some DP's that show it was necessary to wait for the month to rollover before the accounts cleared the 5/24 rule. So I'm thinking I just apply, and if its a denial I can hit up Recon?
